Finding your ideal race weight is not just about the numbers but about your health and how you feel may not be how you think you should look as Maricarmen explains with a few do’s and dont’s

The best way to find your target race weight – percentage of body fat and how you come up with that figure. If it seems that your approach to weight loss has not been working out great for you, it might be time to try something different. On this episode Maricarmen shares some of the practices that she implemented to overcome her obsession with having the “perfect body.”   Starting with determining your caloric intake to making your health the priority, tracking what you eat, noting how you feel and monitoring blood work.

Determine your caloric intake

Carbs, fat and protein provide you with the fuel you need

Finding a number is not going to be enough because most formula’s are going to be general and only a foundation

You need to fin what works for you

The only way to lose weight is calorie restriction

But don’t let it affect your performance by losing too much

Step 2

Health is always first

If you focus on that the weight will come off automatically

Step 3

Tracking what you’re eating is important and will become your friend

Keep it simple and don’t look at everything

How much did I eat and how did it make me feel

Wait a couple of hours for digestion

Do you have:

– the energy

– good digestion

– good performance

Blood work is key

You may be overlooking something that needs attention

Health must come first and the rest will fall into place

How do you feel during and after your workout?

Losing weight isn’t everything

Skinny does not mean healthy

Be sure to include fat in your diet

Balance is key

You need all macro-nutrients

Don’t rely on numbers and the scale

Go by how you feel and your health

You are what you think and you become what you speak

Watch the way you talk to yourself

Saying negative things will only attract more of what you don’t desire in your life
