Overcoming adversity, doubts and fears
In this episode of “A Champion’s Mind,” Marilyn Chychota tells a story from her own career as a professional triathlete in which she risked it all in a head-to-head battle. It was a battle that she ultimately lost, only to realize that the risk she took that day helped make her the athlete and person she is today.
Marilyn Chychota works with all level of athletes from beginner to professional through her work with Endurance Corner. Successes include multiple amateur podiums and overall wins, All-American titles, professional Ironman and Xterra podiums and titles.
Her sporting career includes professional competition in three different sports: show jumping, cycling and triathlon. In that time she won an ironman title and several state cycling championships in both TT and criterium racing. She currently competes as a Masters weightlifter.
Marilyn offers coaching specializing in mental skills for athletes and motivational presentations on mental skills required for competition. She is a columnist for Endurance Corner, Triathlete Magazine and Active.com
