Women sailors are watching the tide turn with new opportunities slowly emerging in offshore sailing
It’s now two years since the all female crew of Team SCA set sail around the world in the Volvo Ocean Race, which was to prove yet another turning point for women sailors. Since then the crew has morphed into The Magenta Project, determined to continue the team’s efforts to create more opportunities for women.
Just this month, some of those women, alongside other female sailors, formed the Thalassa Magenta Project and took part in The Extreme Racing Series in Lisbon.
